Over the past 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with people experiencing a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, navigating difficult life changes, adjusting to new parenthood as well as grief.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work (2010) from McGill University in Montreal, QC and a Master of Social Work (2011) from York University in Toronto, ON. I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach to counselling that is strength’s based and solution-focused. I have experience using evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness as well as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
I believe in building collaborative and safe relationships in counselling in order to foster an environment of sharing and moving towards positive change.
Please note that due to potential conflict of interest, I am not able to work with still serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans, RCMP members, or their families. If you are a member of either of these groups, another member of our NL Counselling team will be happy to work with you
