I am a Clinical Psychotherapist and Professional Member of the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapist Association. I graduated from Loma Linda University ( Canadian Campus) in Alberta with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology and Couples and Family Therapy. I have completed advanced certification in variety of therapies which include Family Systems, Child Play Therapy, and Trauma Therapy. I have had the privilege to work in northern Labrador, urban and rural Newfoundland and in Edmonton, Alberta in positions of clinical/forensic Psychology, and therapeutic counselling for individuals, couples, and families.
I have been in Private Practice for over 15 years and have extensive skill and experience in providing client-strength therapy to Individuals, Couples, Families, Adolescents and Children. I provide a safe, caring, and empathic approach within integrative interventions and knowledge of Systems therapy, Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Solution Focused therapy, Indigenous theory, Narrative theories and Dialectic Behavioural therapy. My role is to provide a safe and therapeutic environment in which individuals can recognize their resilience, strength and capacity for change. My work focuses on empowerment and support to begin a process of creating positive change. To create Hope and New Possibilities.
